Ekimetrics — the "marketing ROI" format

Founded in 2007 in Paris. Over 2,000 AI models deployed for around 200 clients including L'Oréal, AXA, BNP Paribas, Mastercard. Cited by Gartner in the global top 5 on marketing ROI measurement.

When to call them: you have a marketing-driven AI topic — marketing mix modelling, demand forecasting, customer personalisation. Less useful if you want a software product your teams can use day to day.

BCG X — the "executive committee" format

The AI arm of the Boston Consulting Group, founded in Paris in 2015. More than 3,000 experts globally, announced partnerships with OpenAI and Anthropic.

When to call them: the AI decision is owned by your executive committee and the expected output is a costed strategy — not code. Day rate at the top of the market, on the BCG grid. Reserved for large groups and mature mid-market companies.

Artefact — the "transformation" format

More than 1,500 people across 27 countries. Clients sit in the CAC40 and global retail — L'Oréal, Samsung, Carrefour, Sanofi.

When to call them: you are a large enterprise, AI has to touch several subsidiaries, and you need a governance framework with a multi-country deployment plan. Not when you want to ship a product in two months.
